Overview
Cabinet top parameters control how Mozaik builds the top panel of your base and wall cabinets. Setting these correctly ensures your cut list and CNC output match how you actually build.:
Cabinet Top Parameters
Mozaik uses four parameters to define cabinet tops. Two control the top type, and two control stretcher dimensions.
BTop — Base Cabinet Top
Defines the top construction for all base cabinets. Choose from four options:
- Full Top — A solid panel covers the entire top of the cabinet.
- Stretcher Along Width — An open top with a stretcher board running side to side (front to back is open).
- Stretcher Along Depth — An open top with a stretcher board running front to back (left to right is open).
- None — No top panel is generated.
WTop — Wall Cabinet Top
Defines the top construction for all wall cabinets. Uses the same four options as BTop. Note: Tall cabinets also use the WTop parameter.
StretcherW — Stretcher Width
Sets the width of the front stretcher boards when BTop or WTop is set to a stretcher option. If stretchers run front to back, this value applies to both the left and right stretchers.
BackStretcherW — Back Stretcher Width
Sets the width of the rear stretcher boards when stretchers are used. Functions the same as StretcherW but applies specifically to the back-positioned stretchers.
Quick Reference
| Parameter | Applies To | Controls |
|---|---|---|
| BTop | Base cabinets | Top type (Full, Stretcher Width, Stretcher Depth, None) |
| WTop | Wall & Tall cabinets | Top type (Full, Stretcher Width, Stretcher Depth, None) |
| StretcherW | Base & Wall | Front/side stretcher board width |
| BackStretcherW | Base & Wall | Rear stretcher board width |
Common Issues
- Tops not generating correctly: Confirm BTop and WTop are set — they do not share a value. Each must be configured independently.
- Stretcher width looks wrong on cut list: Check both StretcherW and BackStretcherW. If your stretchers run front to back, both parameters must be set.
- Tall cabinets have wrong top type: Tall cabinets inherit from WTop, not BTop. Adjust WTop to fix it.
Troubleshooting
- If you changed BTop or WTop and the model doesn't update, close and reopen the room file to force a refresh.
- StretcherW and BackStretcherW only have an effect when BTop or WTop is set to a stretcher option. Setting a value with a Full Top or None will have no result.
