Overview
Use the Shelf Pins tab in the Hardware Library to create and manage shelf pin records, assign images, enter hole diameters, and configure pricing.
Mozaik calculates the required shelf pin quantity from the associated line-bore quantities. The shelf pin hole diameter must match the diameter defined in the applicable Boring Parameters.
Applies to: Mozaik Hardware Library
Feature: Shelf Pins tab
Configure a Shelf Pin
1. Select or Create a Shelf Pin
Open the Shelf Pins tab.
Select an existing shelf pin from the list, or select Add to create a new shelf pin record.
Use Rename when the currently selected record needs a different name.
2. Enter the Shelf Pin Name
Enter a name that clearly identifies the shelf pin or shelf clip.
Useful details to include in the name may include:
- Material
- Style
- Diameter
- Manufacturer
- Part number
Example:
Flat Metal Pin 5mm
3. Choose the Shelf Pin Image
Select the image area for the shelf pin record and choose the appropriate image.
Shelf pin images are stored in:
C:\Mozaik\Images\Hardware\ShelfPins
Use an image that makes the shelf pin easy to identify when reviewing the Hardware Library.
4. Design the Shelf Ops
Enter the required hole diameter and position the operation that will be applied to the shelf
5. Enter Pricing
Enter the following pricing information:
- Cost Each: Enter the cost of one shelf pin.
- Markup Percentage: Enter the markup applied to the shelf pin cost.
- Add-on Amount: Enter any additional amount charged for each shelf pin.
The total shelf pin quantity is calculated from the line-bore quantities associated with the cabinet or product.
How Shelf Pin Quantities Are Calculated
Mozaik adds shelf pins based on the number of applicable line-bore holes.
The resulting shelf pin count depends on the line-bore quantities defined for the cabinet or product. Review the line-bore setup when the calculated shelf pin quantity is incorrect.
Hole Diameter Validation
Mozaik checks the shelf pin hole diameter against the diameter defined in the Boring Parameters.
If the values do not match, review both locations:
- Open the Shelf Pins tab and confirm the Hole Size value.
- Open the applicable Boring Parameters.
- Confirm that the line-bore diameter matches the shelf pin hole diameter.
- Correct either value as required.
Manage Shelf Pin Records
The controls on the right side of the Shelf Pins tab manage the selected shelf pin or shelf clip record.
| Control | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Add | Creates a new shelf pin or shelf clip record. |
| Delete | Deletes the currently selected shelf pin or shelf clip record. |
| Rename | Changes the name of the selected record. |
| Export | Exports the selected record for transfer or backup. |
| Import | Imports a shelf pin or shelf clip record. |
| Specs | Opens the specifications folder at C:\Mozaik\Data\Specs. |
Complete the Setup
Review the shelf pin name, image, hole size, pricing, and unit selection.
Confirm that the shelf pin hole diameter matches the corresponding diameter in the Boring Parameters.
Select OK to save the Hardware Library changes.
