The Pulls Tab in the Hardware Library is used to set up the specifications for your cabinet pulls, including pull type, boring locations, drawer/door drilling behavior, and double-pull placement.
Pull Setup
- Pull Name — Select the pull from the dropdown list.
- Pull Type — Choose whether the pull is a Handle or a Knob.
- Pricing — Enter the Cost, Markup %, and/or Add-On $ for the pull.
- SketchUp Model Graphic — Choose a SketchUp model to be used for the Door and Drawer.
- Set the Size of the SketchUp Graphic — Set the size of the SketchUp model used for display purposes.
Boring Setup
- Set the Boring Location and Size — Set the boring location and hole size for the pull.
- Hole Diameter — Set the diameter of the pull's boring holes.
- Hole Separation — Set the distance between the pull's boring holes.
- Drill Face Side — Choose whether boring starts drilling from the face side of the part.
- Drill Drawer Box Front — Choose whether to drill the drawer box front for pulls.
- Bore Face Side? — Choose which face of the part the boring will start drilling from.
Pull Orientation and Position
- Door Handle / Pull Orientation — Choose whether the pull is oriented Vertical or Horizontal.
- Drawer Pull Vertical Position (If not middle) — Choose a position from the drawer top when the pull isn't centered. Set a height range (Drawer Front Height) and the corresponding offset from top (Dist From Top).
- Double Drawer Pulls — Choose the drawer width required to add double pulls, and enter the edge clearance (distance from the side edge to the pull center).
Pull Sidebar Tools
The sidebar buttons manage the pull as a whole, separate from its individual settings:
- Add — Adds a new pull.
- Delete — Deletes the pull.
- Rename — Renames the pull.
- Export — Exports the pull.
- Import — Imports a pull.
- Specs — Opens the pull spec document. Add the document to the C:\Mozaik\Data\Specs folder and name it the same as the pull's name.
Quick Reference
- Pull Type — Handle or Knob
- SketchUp Model Graphic — Door and Drawer display models
- Set the Boring Location and Size — Boring position and hole dimensions for the pull
- Drill Face Side — Which face boring starts from
- Drill Drawer Box Front — Whether the drawer box front is drilled for pulls
- Bore Face Side? — Which part face boring starts drilling from
- Pull Orientation — Vertical or Horizontal
- Drawer Pull Vertical Position — Height range and top offset when the pull isn't centered
- Double Drawer Pulls — Drawer width threshold and edge clearance for adding a second pull
Common Issues
- Pull boring not aligning with the SketchUp graphic: Confirm the SketchUp Model Graphic size settings match the actual pull dimensions, since display size and boring location are set separately.
- Double pulls not appearing on wider drawers: Check the Drawer Width for 2 Pulls threshold under Double Drawer Pulls — pulls only double once the drawer meets that width.
- Boring appears on the wrong face: Check the Bore Face Side / Drill Face Side settings — these control which face of the part boring starts from.
Troubleshooting
- Drawer Pull Vertical Position only applies when the pull is not centered on the drawer front — centered pulls ignore these height range and offset values.
- Drill Drawer Box Front is a separate setting from door pull drilling — both need to be checked independently if pulls are required on both doors and drawer boxes.
- Double Drawer Pulls settings (Drawer Width for 2 Pulls, Edge Clearance) only take effect once a drawer meets the specified width threshold.
