Overview
If dimensions or annotations shown in MultiPrint do not match what is displayed in the Product tab, this is usually caused by drawing template settings or layer overrides within MultiPrint. This article outlines the most common causes and how to resolve them.
Common Causes
MultiPrint discrepancies related to dimensions or annotations are typically due to one or more of the following:
- Drawing Template annotation settings
- Layer overrides enabled in MultiPrint
- Drawings needing to be refreshed on the sheet
Drawing Template Settings
Drawing Templates control how dimensions and annotations are displayed between the Product tab and MultiPrint.
- Open the Drawing Template being used
- Verify the annotation and dimension settings
- Ensure the template reflects the desired changes
Adjustments made in the Drawing Template affect how information is displayed in MultiPrint.
MultiPrint Layer Overrides
Layer overrides in MultiPrint can prevent changes from appearing, even if settings were updated elsewhere.
To verify layer settings:
- Go to the MultiPrint tab
- Right-click on the drawing
- Select Layers
- Verify the layers match the expected configuration
- Ensure layers are not overridden or locked
If layers are overridden, changes from the Product tab may not appear.
Refreshing the Drawing
After adjusting drawing templates or layer settings:
- You may need to remove the drawing from the sheet
- Re-add the drawing to the sheet to refresh the changes
This ensures MultiPrint reflects the most current settings.
Result
Once drawing templates and layer overrides are corrected, dimensions and annotations in MultiPrint should match those shown in the Product tab.
Additional Notes
- Layer overrides are a common cause of unexpected MultiPrint behavior
- Always verify templates and layers before recreating drawings
