Overview
Mozaik AI Rendering allows you to turn your Mozaik designs into presentation-quality images directly inside the software. With the push of a button, you can create photorealistic renders, architectural concept images, or pencil-style sketches without needing to manually configure a separate rendering program or write AI prompts.
AI Rendering is built directly into Mozaik and uses the information already contained in your design. Your cabinet layout, geometry, materials, and joinery are maintained while AI enhances the lighting, environment, staging, and overall presentation of the scene.
AI Rendering is an optional add-on available for active Mozaik Manufacturing, CNC, and Enterprise subscriptions.
What Is AI Rendering?
AI Rendering is designed to make it easier to create customer-ready visuals from your Mozaik designs.
Instead of manually building a detailed rendering scene, adding decorative models, configuring lighting, or writing prompts in an external AI application, you can select the desired options inside Mozaik and click Render.
AI Rendering can automatically enhance the presentation of the room by adding:
- Realistic lighting
- Exterior environments
- Cabinet lighting
- Furnishings and decorative staging
- Lifestyle elements
- Photorealistic finishes and reflections
No AI experience or complex prompt writing is required. Mozaik handles the AI instructions and design information behind the scenes.
AI Rendering vs. Cloud Rendering
Mozaik offers both Cloud Rendering and AI Rendering from the Render tab in the 3D Viewer. The main difference is how much of the rendering process you control manually.
Cloud Rendering gives you direct control over traditional rendering settings such as image size, aspect ratio, HDRI, global lighting, exposure, and shadows.
AI Rendering uses simpler presentation-based controls. You choose the overall look you want, and Mozaik handles much of the rendering setup in the background.
Cloud Rendering
Cloud Rendering is best suited for users who want to manually control settings such as:
- Image size and aspect ratio
- Lighting and exposure
- HDRI and shadows
AI Rendering
AI Rendering focuses on presentation choices such as:
- Style – Photo, Concept, or Pencil
- Mood – Time of day and lighting conditions
- Exterior – What appears outside windows
- Cabinet Lighting
- Staging – Low, Medium, High, or Custom
Custom staging can be used to request specific types of items such as flowers, plants, coffee items, books, people, or other scene-specific accessories.
Switching Between AI and Cloud
If your subscription includes AI Rendering, you can toggle between AI and Cloud directly from the Render tab.
AI Rendering packages also include Cloud Rendering, so both rendering methods remain available.
Accessing AI Rendering
To create an AI render:
- Open your design in Mozaik.
- Open the 3D Viewer.
- Position the view at the angle you want to render.
- Open the Render options.
- Select AI Rendering.
- Choose your desired rendering settings.
- Click Render.
Mozaik prepares the design information, sends the required scene information to the rendering service, and generates the completed image.
While a render is being generated, you can also select Cancel if you no longer want to complete that render.
AI Rendering Options
The rendering interface allows you to control the overall appearance of the image before generating it.
Render Style
Choose the visual style of the finished image.
| Style | Description |
|---|---|
| Photorealistic | Creates a realistic presentation intended to resemble a finished photograph of the space. |
| Concept | Creates an architectural concept or watercolor-style presentation. |
| Pencil | Creates a sketch or pencil-drawing style presentation. |
Photorealistic will typically be used when you want to show the customer what the completed project may look like.
Concept and Pencil can be useful when you want a more artistic presentation or want the drawing to retain the appearance of an architectural concept.
Mood and Lighting Conditions
Use the Mood settings to control the general lighting and time-of-day appearance of the scene.
Available options can be used to create conditions such as:
- Studio lighting
- Sunrise
- Midday
- Evening
- Twilight
Changing the mood can dramatically change the appearance of the same design without requiring you to modify the room itself.
For example, a midday render can be used for a bright presentation of the cabinetry, while a twilight render can emphasize cabinet lighting and create a more dramatic scene.
Exterior Environment
AI Rendering can also control what appears outside windows in the design.
For example, you can create an exterior environment such as:
- Garden views
- Different weather conditions
- A simplified or blurred exterior
The exterior setting allows the environment outside the room to better match the presentation you are trying to create.
Cabinet Lighting
AI Rendering can enhance cabinet lighting without requiring you to manually build each lighting effect into the rendered scene.
Depending on the design, lighting options can include:
- Spotlights / downlights / puck lights
- Linear or LED lighting
- Lighting inside openings
- Lighting behind glass doors or glass sections
- Toe kick lighting
Cabinet lighting can be especially effective when combined with an evening or twilight mood.
Staging
Staging allows AI Rendering to automatically add decorative and lifestyle elements to the room.
Instead of manually placing items such as a coffee maker, flowers, books, bowls, or other decorative objects into the design, AI can add appropriate items when the image is rendered.
Staging Levels
Choose the amount of staging you want AI to add:
Low
Adds a small amount of staging. This will generally result in approximately one or two additional items.
Medium
Adds additional decorative elements throughout the scene. This will generally result in approximately three or four items.
High
Creates a more heavily staged presentation. This may add approximately five or six items to the scene.
These amounts are approximate. AI determines the final objects and placement based on the design and selected settings.
Custom Staging
Select Custom when you want to provide more specific direction about what should be included in the scene.
Custom staging can be useful for specialized spaces such as:
- Bars
- Wine cellars
- Closets
- Garages
- Workshops
You can also request specific elements such as flowers, fruit, or a person in the scene.
Important: Use staging carefully. The more staging or highly specific custom instructions you request, the more freedom the AI has to interpret what should be added to the image. Review every generated render before presenting it to a customer.
The cabinetry and design geometry remain based on your Mozaik design, but AI-generated decorative elements may vary between renders.
Aspect Ratio
Select an aspect ratio based on how the finished image will be used.
For example:
- 16:9 works well for wide-format presentations and screens.
- 9:16 can be useful for vertical content such as social media stories.
Choosing the appropriate aspect ratio before rendering can reduce the need to crop the completed image later.
Render Templates
Rendering settings can be saved as Templates.
Templates are useful when you regularly create renders using the same combination of:
- Render style
- Mood
- Exterior environment
- Cabinet lighting
- Staging
- Other rendering settings
Instead of configuring each option every time, select the appropriate template and render the design.
This can help maintain a consistent presentation style across multiple jobs.
Workflow: Creating an AI Render
Step 1: Choose Your View
- Open the design in the 3D Viewer.
- Navigate to the desired viewing angle.
- Make sure the room is framed the way you want it presented.

AI Renders in MultiPrint
AI and Cloud renders can be used directly in MultiPrint.
Once a render has been created, it becomes available from the MultiPrint sidebar. Drag and drop the render directly onto the MultiPrint page and resize it as needed.
There is no need to:
- Take a screenshot
- Export the image
- Save it separately
- Re-import the image into MultiPrint
Automatic Render Updates
Render views placed in MultiPrint will automatically update when those views are re-rendered.
This allows you to change the rendering settings and generate a new version without manually replacing the image in your MultiPrint presentation.
For example:
- Create a photorealistic render.
- Add the render to your MultiPrint page.
- Return to the 3D Viewer.
- Change the render to a Concept style.
- Re-render the view.
- Return to MultiPrint.
The updated render will be available without having to manually replace the image.
AI Rendering Pricing

Best Practices
💡 Start With Low Staging - Low staging is a good starting point when you want AI to enhance the room without adding too many decorative elements.
💡 Use Staging Carefully - AI-generated accessories are interpretive. Increasing the staging level gives AI more opportunities to add items to the scene.
💡 Review Every Render - Always look closely at the completed image before including it in a customer presentation.
💡 Use Mood to Highlight Lighting - Evening or twilight settings can be especially useful when demonstrating toe kick, interior, or LED cabinet lighting.
💡 Use Templates for Consistency - Save frequently used combinations of render settings as templates so presentations remain consistent from job to job.
💡 Match the Aspect Ratio to the Presentation - Use a wide format for typical presentations and a vertical format when preparing content for vertical displays or social media.
💡 Try Multiple Styles - The same design can be rendered as a photorealistic image for the customer and as a Concept or Pencil image for a more architectural presentation.
💡 Use MultiPrint Integration - Add renders directly to your MultiPrint layouts instead of exporting and manually inserting images.
