When a wall covers the open end or side of a cabinet run, the plan view will not display a depth dimension for those cabinets — it will show the wall length instead. This is expected behavior, not a bug, and it comes down to how Mozaik calculates depth in plan view.
Why This Happens:
For the plan view to show a depth dimension, the run needs an open end or side to measure from. If a wall covers both ends/sides of the run, there is no open reference point available, so Mozaik displays the wall's width in place of the cabinet depth.:
Note: This only affects the plan view dimension display — it does not change the actual cabinet depth. The cabinets are still built to their assigned depth; the plan view simply has nothing open to measure from and show it.
Common Issues
- Plan view shows wall length instead of cabinet depth: Check whether a wall covers both ends/sides of the run. At least one side needs to be open for Mozaik to display a depth dimension.
- Depth dimension missing after adding a wall: Confirm whether the wall was extended to cover a previously open end — this will remove the reference point the plan view was using.
Troubleshooting
- To confirm actual cabinet depth when the plan view can't display it, check the cabinet properties or the 3D view directly rather than relying on the plan view dimension.
