Post Integration connects Mozaik to your CNC machine so the software can generate G-Code your machine can read and execute correctly. Without it, Mozaik has no way to communicate with your specific machine — every CNC controller is different, and the post processor acts as the translator between Mozaik and your equipment.
Post Integration is required for all CNC and Enterprise version subscribers.
When to Schedule
Schedule your Post Integration session after completing your Initial Setup Session. Attempting Post Integration before setup is complete will delay the process.
Contact the Mozaik training department to book your session: Training@MozaikSoftware.com
The Post Integration Process
Step 1 — Import the Post Processor or Submit a Post Request Form
Before your session, you need to get the correct post processor into Mozaik. Do one of the following from within Mozaik:
- Import the post processor directly if you already have it, or
-
Fill out the Post Request Form to have the correct post built for your machine.
- For detailed instructions on requesting your post processor, please click HERE.
If filling out the form manually, include a sample G-Code file from your machine. This allows the Mozaik team to verify the correct format and configuration for your controller.
Step 2 — Schedule Your PI Session
Once the post processor is submitted or imported, contact the training department to schedule your session. You can reach out via Training@MozaikSoftware.com or contact your training coordinator directly.
Step 3 — Your PI Session
During the session, the Mozaik team will work with you to complete the following:
- Install and configure the post processor
- Set up your machine library
- Configure CNC tooling
- Create a test G-Code file to verify everything is working correctly
What to Have Ready
Have the following information available before your session. This is required to build or configure the correct post processor for your machine:
- CNC manufacturer, make, and model
- Machine type (e.g., Nesting, Routing)
- CNC control type
- Preferred file extension
- Tool changer configuration
- Any other machine-specific details
The more accurate this information is, the smoother your session will go. Incorrect or incomplete machine details are the most common cause of delays.
Common Issues
- Post Integration scheduled before Initial Setup is complete: Complete your Initial Setup Session first — PI sessions cannot be completed effectively without it.
- Wrong post processor imported: Always verify your CNC manufacturer, model, and control type before submitting the Post Request Form. Including a sample G-Code file eliminates guesswork.
- Test G-Code not cutting correctly after session: Contact the Help Desk with your job file and a description of what the machine is doing versus what is expected.
- Option to request post processor not available within the Mozaik program: This feature was added in Mozaik version 14.1. If you are unable to see this feature, you will need to update to the current version of the software to access it. If you need instructions on updating the software, please reference this guide: How to update Mozaik to the latest version
Troubleshooting
- If you are unsure which post processor applies to your machine, do not guess — submit the Post Request Form with your machine details and a sample G-Code file and let the team confirm it.
- If your PI session has been completed but Mozaik is not generating output correctly, check that the correct post processor is selected in your machine library before contacting support.
