Starting with version 15, Mozaik no longer uses monthly authorization codes. Instead, you sign in through the Cyncly portal to open and use the software. This guide explains how to sign in, how to add users to your account, and how licensing works across devices.
What Changed in Version 15
The manual authorization codes you used to enter each month are gone. When you update to version 15, a sign-in screen appears automatically the first time you open Mozaik.
There are no extra setup steps. You only need to make sure everyone who uses Mozaik has a Cyncly account that is attached to your company.
Note: Mozaik is still licensed per device. This policy has not changed.
Signing In
Once you have a Cyncly account attached to your company, Mozaik uses your login to open the software. On most computers, Windows saves your credentials so you stay signed in and do not have to log in every time.
If you manage your company's account, you can add employees so they can sign in and use Mozaik:
- In Mozaik, open the Help menu and select Cyncly Portal.
- Sign in with your account's main email and password.
- On the left, select Manage Users and Sessions.
- Select Add New User.
- Enter the new user's email and assign their role, department, and division.
- Select Add. The user receives an invitation by email.
If you were added to a company account, you will receive an invitation email. To set up your account:
- Open the invitation email and select Step 1: Create a Cyncly Account.
- Select Create an Account.
- Enter your company's registered name, your email, and create your own password.
- Accept the Terms of Use and select Create Account.
- Open the activation email and select Activate Your Account (or enter the activation code).
- Confirm your email address and select OK. Your account is now active.
Important: You must accept the invitation and finish creating your account before you can sign in to Mozaik. An account with no products attached to it will not open the software.
Understanding Account Roles
Your role determines what you can do and whether you can open Mozaik:
- Administrator: Full access to the Cyncly account, including managing users and subscriptions.
- User: Can sign in and use Mozaik, but cannot manage the account. Both Administrators and Users are attached to your company's customer account.
- Community: An account that was created but is not attached to any purchased products or to a registered company. A Community account cannot open Mozaik.
Tip: If you can sign in to Cyncly but Mozaik will not open, your account may be set as Community. Make sure your account is attached to your company by having your administrator add you as a User.
Using Mozaik on More Than One Device
Because Mozaik is licensed per device, each computer needs its own seat. To run Mozaik on an additional device, you will need to purchase another seat.
If a licensed device stops working, you can switch that seat to a new device. Keep in mind:
- Once you switch a seat away from a device, that device cannot be licensed again. This prevents license misuse.
- If you believe a license was moved to another device by mistake, contact the helpdesk for assistance.
Common Issues
- Mozaik will not open after signing in: Your account may not be attached to your company. Confirm your administrator has added you as a User, and that you have accepted your invitation.
- Did not receive the invitation email: Check your spam or junk folder. Your administrator can resend the invitation from the Cyncly portal.
- Asked to sign in every time: Your computer's saved-credential settings control how long you stay signed in. Check your Windows Credential Manager settings.
- Need to move a license: Remember the previous device cannot be reactivated. Contact the helpdesk if a license was moved in error.
