This article explains the different methods for sending a Mozaik job file to another company, such as a dedicated cutting service. The best option depends on the software versions (like Mozaik Manufacturing or Mozaik CNC) that both you and the receiving company are using.
This article covers:
Send the G-code directly
This method requires you to have Mozaik CNC.
To send G-code:
- Obtain a copy of the other company's machine setup.
- Save this setup file within your Mozaik installation.
- Optimise the job using their machine setup.
- Generate the final G-code files.
- Send the G-code files to the other company to run.
- This method gives you full control over all machining operations.
Send the Mozaik Job file
This method involves sending your entire Mozaik job folder. The receiving company can open this file in their version of Mozaik, and process it using their own Optimizer.
- This method is simple, but the receiving company will control the final operations and setup.
Export a .xml Parts List
This method requires you and the receiving company to have access to the Optimizer. The Optimiser is included with Mozaik CNC or is available as an add-on for Mozaik Manufacturing.
To send a parts list:
- Export the parts list from your job as a .xml file.
- Send the .xml file to the other company.
- The company will import this file directly into their Optimiser to prepare it for machining.
