The Door Profile Library lets you create and manage the profiles used to build Traditional and Mitre Frame doors — including the outside edge, inside frame, panel, mitre frame, and applied molding. These profiles determine how your doors are shaped, and they feed directly into your cut list and CNC output.
Door Types
Mitre Frame Display — Two Ways to Show a Mitre Frame Door
There are two ways to display a Mitre Frame Door:
- Outside Edge / Inside Frame / Panel — Used when "Default" is set in the door's mitre profile selection.
- Frame Profile — Used when a specific Frame Profile is selected when creating the door.
Profile Library Tabs
The Profile Library is organized into six tabs, each controlling a different part of the door.

Thumbnails — Browse and Reorder Profiles
The Thumbnails Tab shows a graphic thumbnail preview of every profile in your library. Double-click a thumbnail to instantly open it in the editor.
- OK — Closes the window and saves your changes.
- Cancel — Closes the window without saving.
- Up/Down Arrows — Manually reorder profiles.
- Sort — Organizes the library alphabetically.
Profile Editor — Shared Controls
The Outside Edge, Inside Frame, Panel, Mitre Frame, and Applied Molding tabs share the same editor layout and controls.

Frame Width — Mitre Frame Tab Only
Sets the width used for the mitre profile. This is important when designing the Mitre Frame Profile, since it is combined with the Panel Profile to produce the finished door shape.
Applied Molding Axis — Placement Reference
The Applied Molding profile is the entire molding shape. Check the placement of your shape against the Inside Corner of Door Frame axis shown at the bottom of the tab to ensure correct orientation.

Common Issues
- Profile changes not appearing on the door: Confirm you clicked Save profile before closing the editor.
- Mitre Frame Door not showing the expected profile: Check whether the door's mitre profile selection is set to Default (uses Outside Edge / Inside Frame / Panel) or a specific Frame Profile — these are two separate profile sources and only one applies at a time.
- Point edits snapping to unexpected locations: Check Grid Options — Snap points to grid may be enabled with a grid spacing larger than expected.
- Applied Molding appears mirrored or offset: Review the placement of your shape relative to the Inside Corner of Door Frame axis on the Applied Molding tab.
Troubleshooting
- If a profile edit doesn't appear to save, reopen the Profile Library and confirm the profile reflects your changes — always click Save profile before navigating away from the editor.
- Frame Width only affects the Mitre Frame tab and is combined with the Panel Profile — changing Frame Width without an assigned Panel Profile will not visibly change the finished door.
- The Outside Edge, Inside Frame, and Panel tabs only apply to Mitre Frame doors when "Default" is selected in the door's mitre profile setting. If a specific Frame Profile is selected instead, these three tabs are not used for that door.
