Tips for Working with Molding
Best Practices:
- Use Automatic Mold first to quickly add standard molding throughout your design
- Switch to Draw Mold for custom areas like curves, angles, or special features
- Always check your molding in 3D View (Ctrl+Shift+V) to ensure proper placement
- Use the Molding Summary before finalizing your design to verify material quantities
Common Issues:
- If molding doesn't appear where expected, check the elevation settings in Molding Settings
- If molding paths overlap incorrectly, use Edit Path on Floor Plan to adjust individual segments
- For complex ceiling details, draw custom paths rather than relying on automatic placement
