Importing and Exporting Parts via XML in the Mozaik Optimizer
If you need to transfer parts between devices or wish to cut out parts without making additional design adjustments, exporting and importing parts via XML in the Mozaik Optimizer is a reliable method.
Exporting Parts to XML
- Open the Optimizer and navigate to the Parts tab.
- Select Export.
- Choose XML as the export format.
- This XML file contains all part geometry, including shapes and machining operations.
This file can now be transferred to another device running the Mozaik Optimizer.
Importing Parts on Another Device
- On the receiving device, open the Optimizer.
- Create a new job.
- Navigate to the Parts tab and select Import.
- Choose the XML file exported from the other system.

The parts should now populate in the new job with their associated shape and machining details.
Important Notes
- Material must match:
Ensure that the material used in the sending job exists and is identical on the receiving device. Mismatched material definitions can cause issues during nesting. - Tooling must be verified:
Double-check that the receiving system has the required tools set up correctly. Missing or mismatched tooling can prevent operations from generating properly.
