This article was created to describe the basics of creating a new Material Template & Overriding a Material Template on a specific Cabinet.
Creating a New Material Template
To make specific Parts out of a different material & keep the construction methods accurate along with the parameters, the best solution will be to create a new Material Template. Once the new Template is created, we can override the cabinet to use the updated Material Template.
-Go to the Settings Tab of Mozaik-Material Settings (This is so we can choose the correct Template)
-Go to Libraries-Material Templates-Select the Material Template that is being used.
-Click 'New' & Enter a Name for the new Template & click OK
Note: Having the Template selected that you want to adjust before clicking 'New' will copy the selections, meaning you only have to make the adjustments you need instead of ensuring the entire Template matches.
-Select the Part Type that needs to be changed & select the new Material from the Dropdown menu. Repeat for any other Part Types that need to be adjusted.
-Once the changes are made, click OK to save changes & Exit.
Performing a Material Template Override
-Go to the Products Tab & open the Product Editor for the Cabinet that needs to have the new Material Template
-Go to the Info Tab
-In the Bottom Right, there is a section for Material Overrides.
-Choose the Material Template you created
The Product will update the Parts list with accurate materials. In the graphic below, the changes are highlighted. We went from have 5/8 Melamine Stretchers, Sleepers, & an Unfinished Back to having 3/4 Melamine Stretchers & a 1/2 Melamine Sleeper & Unfinished Back. All of the operations associated with these Parts have also changed to match the Construction Method & Parameters.
