To create SketchUp Doors with a thumbnail that displays the details, please follow these steps along with the photos and videos provided:
- Go to Libraries > Doors
- Select the 'Standard 2018' Library
- Click on the 'Traditional' tab under Doors
- You can also do this in the 'Mitre' and 'Routed' sections of Doors
- Click 'Add' and enter a name for your new Door (I suggest including SKP in the name to make it easy to identify)
- Set the Rail & Stile Widths to 0, so the Panel covers the full size of the Door
- Click on the Panel and change the Panel Type to SketchUp
- Choose your SketchUp file
- After selecting the SketchUp file, the Panel thumbnail will display the details from the SketchUp file. This will also appear in the Thumbnails section of the Door Library.
Also, be sure to set the SketchUp Doors as 'Buyout' so they won’t appear on your Cutlist. Please check out the attached video showing how I created the new SketchUp Door:
