Why does my Applied Door have a Toe Notch? (Anonymous Customer)
How can I make the Applied Door Back cover the rear of adjacent cabinets? It should be a single panel covering the back of my island. (Anonymous Customer)
How do I extend Applied Doors without extending the Unfinished End? (Anonymous Customer)
1: Applied Door Toe Notch
The inclusion of the toe notch was part of recent updates to accommodate customers who prefer the notch on Applied Doors without the need to manually shape parts. To modify this setting:
- Navigate to the Shape Tab within the Product Editor. Please refer to the graphic below for instructions on how to remove the toe notch from your applied doors.
2: Extending Applied Door Backs (Covering Adjacent Cabinets & Maintaining Ends)
- According to the Forums, Applied Doors will receive enhanced functionality in version 7.2, with a tentative release date in early 2019. It is advisable to monitor the forums for updates or to obtain a specific release timeline.
- Currently, rather than extending an Applied Door Back, it is recommended to use a separate product.
- Within the Product Library, there are two categories of panels that can be added and modified without altering the cabinet's construction.
- These categories are 'Base End Panels' and 'Panel Backs.'
These products can be added and edited similarly to any other cabinet. By accessing the Shape tab, the parts can be sectioned in the same manner as any other door.
These options serve as temporary solutions until Applied Doors are provided with more autonomous functionality.
